Our story

Special Eye Hospital ``Dr. Kozomara``

The Special Eye Hospital “Dr. Kozomara” is a continuation of a family tradition that began back in 2008 as the “Eye Clinic Kozomara.”

From that day on, we have continuously worked on improving our services and ensuring to have and use the latest technologies and methods in the treatment of all eye diseases. Precisely for these reasons, the “Eye Clinic Kozomara” became joined forces with the Special Eye Hospital “Svjetlost” Zagreb, Croatia, and in 2011. became Special Eye Hospital ”Svjetlost” Banja Luka. Our decades-long cooperation has enabled us to grow, learn, and develop with the unselfish help of our colleagues who have shared their knowledge and experiences with us on a daily basis.

Today, as we “return to our roots,” we want to continue on the same path we have taken over the past 15 years as the Special Eye Hospital “Dr. Kozomara.”

Our team consists of doctors with many years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of all types of eye diseases. We would like to highlight the most common ones, such as cataract, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and so on.

However, we are most recognizable for procedures in refractive surgery and cosmetic eyelid surgeries. In our institution, the first laser vision correction surgery in the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina was performed back in 2008. Additionally, we have performed a large number of near-vision correction surgeries with the implantation of multifocal intraocular lenses, as well as cosmetic eyelid surgeries. Our patient was our own doctor and owner, Dr. Bojan Kozomara, whose near vision was also corrected with the multifocal intraocular lenses.

We understand that each patient is unique, and therefore, we approach each of you individually. In collaboration with you and your families, we develop a personalized treatment plan to achieve the best possible results.
