Kada ste posljednji put počešali svoje oči?
Većina nas to radi dovoljno često da i ne primijetimo svaki put kada to uradimo. Bez obzira da li smo umorni, oči nas žuljaju i peckaju, ili imamo osjećaj stranog tijela u oku, trljanje je jednostavan način da se osjećamo bolje-iako time radimo više lošeg nego dobrog.

Problem je u samom češanju oka, gdje vrlo lako možemo stvoriti mikro povrede rožnjače i na taj način napraviti mjesto za ulazak mikroorganizama u oko.
Kako možemo zaštititi svoje oči?
Ne možemo uvijek izbjeći trljanje oka, posebno ako nosimo kontaktna sočiva. Ipak, potrebno je svesti nivo kontakta na minimum i detaljno oprati ruke sapunom prije dodirivanja. Takođe, nokti bi trebali biti uredno podsječeni kako bismo na taj način smanjili mogućnost razmnožavanja mikroorganizama, a to je i osnovni razlog zašto hirurzi nose rukavice za vrijeme operacija.
