Hipermetropija ili dalekovidost je čest problem sa vidom koji pogađa oko četvrtinu populacije. Ljudi sa hipermetropijom mogu vidjeti udaljene predmete veoma dobro, ali imaju poteškoća da fokusiraju vid na predmete koji im se nalaze u blizini.
Simptomi i znakovi hipermetropije
Dalekovidi ljudi ponekad imaju glavobolje ili naprežu oči i mogu da žmirkaju ili se osjećaju umorno pri obavljanju nekog posla iz neposredne blizine. Ako se ovi simptomi jave kada osoba nosi naočale ili kontaktna sočiva, možda će biti potreban pregled očiju i propisavanje novih naočala/kontaktnih sočiva.
Šta uzrokuje hipermetropiju?
Ovaj problem sa vidom se javlja kada se svjetlosni zraci ulazeći u oko fokusiraju iza žute mrlje, a ne direktno na nju, dok je očna jabučica kod dalekovidih lica je kraća nego što je normalno. Mnoga djeca se rađaju sa hipermetropijom, a neki od njih je prerastu kako se očna jabučica produžava tokom normalnog rasta. Ponekad ljudi miješaju hipermetropiju sa presbiopijom, koja takođe izaziva probleme sa vidom na blizinu, ali iz drugačijih razloga.
Treatment of hyperopia
Dalekovidnost se može ispraviti naočalama ili kontaktnim sočivima kako bi se promijenio način lomljenja svjetlosnih zraka u oku.Ako naočale ili kontaktna sočiva koja su prepisana počinju sa plus brojevima, kao što je +2.50, u pitanju je dalekovidost. Može biti potrebno nositi naočale ili kontaktna sočiva stalno, ili samo kada se čita, radi na računaru ili izbliza rade neki drugi poslovi.
Refraktivna hirurgija, kao što je LASIK ili CK, je još jedna opcija za ispravljanje hipermetropije. Hirurgija može smanjiti ili ukloniti potrebu za nošenjem naočala ili kontaktnih sočiva.Istraživački postupci koji uključuju “inleje” i “onleje” rožnjače, odnosno specijalno dizajnirane implantate za stromalni dio rožnjače oka, mogli bi biti buduća opcija za ispravljanje hipermetropije.
